The Australasian Arabian Breeders Coalition is a proud Associate Member of ECAHO

ECAHO Established in 1983, the European Conference of Arab Horse Organisations (ECAHO) is comprised of 45 equine associations representing 34 countries on four continents worldwide, including Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. Concerned first and foremost with the integrity of the breed and the welfare of the horse, ECAHO has been at the forefront of establishing rules and regulations for Arabian horse shows and can be directly credited for creating and maintaining a greater sense of international cooperation, community and good will.

Now in its fifth decade of existence, ECAHO remains committed to the guiding principles and objectives upon which it was founded, which include the commitment to:

​

• uphold, guide and ensure fair and ethical competition/sport

• safeguard equine welfare and promote responsible husbandry practices

• preserve and promote the international Arabian breed standard

• provide relevant, industry-leading education for show officials and equine professionals

• support the breeding ownership and enjoyment of Arabian horses

• foster cooperation and collaboration between organisations, countries, and all members – breeders, owners, officials, trainers, exhibitors, professionals and enthusiasts - of the international Arabian horse community

As the premier governing authority for the Arabian horse worldwide, ECAHO is responsible for overseeing more shows, competition, education, advocacy and outreach in more countries on every continent for the Arabian breed than other international equine organisation.

 

The Australasian Arabian Breeders Coalition is immensely privileged and honoured to be welcomed as an associate member of ECAHO. We look forward to embracing the outreach and influence of ECAHO and its member organisations with our Australasian community, and in return, to sharing the best of Australia and New Zealand with the rest of the world.
